Second Graders can Make A Difference!

On a windy, cold day 6 Second Graders set out with the Canal View Service Learning Club to honor several veterans living in our community.  It all started with a few students wanting to give back to our community.  After several attempts at creating a community service project, they landed with the Service Learning Club.  This group of 4th and 5th Graders welcomed our 2nd Graders to work with them on a project.  The group met several times to create signs and gifts for the Veterans.  The also prepared songs and poems to recite for the Veterans upon their visit.

Great Job to those who made a difference by giving a special thank you to those who served our country.
